Biography
Professor de Herder is currently Professor of Endocrine Oncology at the Erasmus MC / Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He is an accomplished scientist and has made significant contributions to the fields of clinical neuroendocrinology, general clinical endocrinology, radioligand therapy and history of endocrinology. His research is based on bench-to-bedside and bedside-to-bench approaches. He is co-founder and past chairman of ENETs, the European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society.
Professor de Herder has been a Senior Editor of JNE since 2020, as well as a member of the BSN, and has been closely involved with the journal’s development. They will succeed Professor Bob Millar as Editor-in-Chief of the Translational and Clinical Neuroendocrinology (TCN) strand of the Journal of Neuroendocrinology (JNE) from 1 January 2025.
