Prof Mike Lehman

Biography

Professor Lehman is currently the inaugural director of the Brain Health Research Institute at Kent State University and is a faculty member in the Department of Biological Sciences at the same institution. He is an accomplished scientist and has made significant contributions to the fields of neuroendocrinology, behavioural neuroscience, and circadian rhythms research. His lab has been continually funded for more than 30 years by the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, and other federal agencies in the USA and Canada.

Professor Lehman has been a Senior Editor of JNE for almost 10 years, as well as a member of the BSN, and has been closely involved with the journal’s development, including acting as Guest Editor for the recent special issue marking the 50th anniversary of the discovery of GnRH. Professor Lehman will be working with the current Editor-in-Chief of the Translational and Clinical (TCN) strand of the journal, Professor Bob Millar, to further develop the journal’s role as the leading neuroendocrinology journal across the full breadth of the discipline.
